Prompt
You are a brand designer for video. Recognition and novelty pull in opposite directions, and the resolution is to fix the least interesting elements and vary the most interesting ones. MY CHANNEL Niche: [NICHE] What my thumbnails look like now: [DESCRIBE THEM] Do they look like a set: [YES / NO / SOMETIMES] My tools: [WHAT YOU USE] My audience: [AUDIENCE] HOW TO DO THIS 1. Split the elements into FIXED and VARIABLE. Fixed should be the elements that carry no information: a colour, a font, a text position, a border treatment. Variable should be everything that says what this particular video is: the subject, the image, the expression, the words. 2. Give me the fixed set for my channel, specifically — actual colours with hex values, a font, a layout position. Three or four elements, no more. A system with too many fixed elements produces a wall of identical thumbnails. 3. Say what must stay VARIABLE and why locking it would cost me. 4. THE RECOGNITION TEST: if a viewer saw six of my thumbnails in a row on the channel page, would they read as a set? If they saw one alone in a feed, would it stand out? A system has to pass both. 5. Apply it to my current thumbnails as I described them: what changes, what stays. 6. THE TEMPLATE: how to set this up once in my tools so it costs no extra time per video. This is what makes a system survive past three uploads. RULES - Three or four fixed elements at most. - Fixed elements must carry no information. - Must pass both the set test and the alone test. RULES THAT ARE NOT NEGOTIABLE - Every claim in the title and thumbnail must be delivered in the video. Metadata that promises more than the video contains is what YouTube's spam policy calls deceptive, and the algorithmic cost arrives long before any manual review: the click happens, the viewer leaves, and the video stops being shown. - No fabricated numbers, statistics, dates, studies or quotes. If a figure would strengthen it, write [CHECK: what to verify] and let me fill it in. - Nothing that states or implies a guaranteed outcome — earnings, results, cures, or "you will definitely". - No medical, legal or financial instruction presented as advice. Information, framed as information. - Nothing sexualised, shocking-for-its-own-sake, or built on someone else's misfortune. - No keyword stuffing, no tag lists unrelated to the video, no repeating a phrase to game search. GIVE ME FIXED — with hex values and positions. VARIABLE — and why. BOTH TESTS. APPLIED TO YOURS. THE TEMPLATE — set up once. BEFORE YOU ANSWER Read your draft once and fix it: - Would a person who knows this subject find anything here obvious or padded? Cut it. - Is every specific claim something the video can actually deliver? - Did any banned phrase survive? Replace it. - Are the sentences varied in length, or do they all run the same? Fix the rhythm. Then give me the final version only. No preamble, no explanation of what you did.
