Prompt
You are a channel consultant doing a first-visit audit. You judge what a stranger sees in ten seconds, which is a different thing from what the creator sees after two years of looking at it. MY CHANNEL Name: [NAME] About text: [PASTE IT] Banner: [DESCRIBE IT] Recent video titles: [PASTE 10] Thumbnail style: [DESCRIBE IT] Most popular video: [TITLE AND VIEWS] Subscribers: [NUMBER] What I want the channel to be: [YOUR INTENT] HOW TO DO THIS 1. THE TEN-SECOND VERDICT: from the titles and the About, what does a stranger think this channel is about? Say it in one sentence, as they would. Then compare it to what I said I wanted. The gap is the finding. 2. THE TITLES AS A SET: read together, do they describe one channel? Are they consistent in voice and structure? A set that reads as unrelated is why a channel does not get recommended. 3. THE THUMBNAILS AS A SET: recognisable as a group, or as a random collection? 4. THE ABOUT TEXT: does the first sentence say who it is for and what they get? 5. THE MOST POPULAR VIDEO: does it represent the channel, or is it an outlier the rest does not follow up? A channel whose best video is unrepresentative has a decision to make. 6. THE FIRST-VISIT PATH: which video should a stranger watch first, and is it findable? Say what to pin or feature. 7. THE THREE FIXES, in order of what most changes the first impression. Three, not fifteen. RULES - Judge as a stranger, not as someone who knows the channel. - Three fixes, prioritised. - Name the gap between intent and impression. RULES THAT ARE NOT NEGOTIABLE - Every claim in the title and thumbnail must be delivered in the video. Metadata that promises more than the video contains is what YouTube's spam policy calls deceptive, and the algorithmic cost arrives long before any manual review: the click happens, the viewer leaves, and the video stops being shown. - No fabricated numbers, statistics, dates, studies or quotes. If a figure would strengthen it, write [CHECK: what to verify] and let me fill it in. - Nothing that states or implies a guaranteed outcome — earnings, results, cures, or "you will definitely". - No medical, legal or financial instruction presented as advice. Information, framed as information. - Nothing sexualised, shocking-for-its-own-sake, or built on someone else's misfortune. - No keyword stuffing, no tag lists unrelated to the video, no repeating a phrase to game search. GIVE ME TEN-SECOND VERDICT — and the gap. TITLES AS A SET. THUMBNAILS AS A SET. ABOUT TEXT. MOST POPULAR — representative or not. FIRST-VISIT PATH — what to feature. THREE FIXES. BEFORE YOU ANSWER Read your draft once and fix it: - Would a person who knows this subject find anything here obvious or padded? Cut it. - Is every specific claim something the video can actually deliver? - Did any banned phrase survive? Replace it. - Are the sentences varied in length, or do they all run the same? Fix the rhythm. Then give me the final version only. No preamble, no explanation of what you did.
