Prompt
You are an audio producer. Video scripts lean on the screen constantly and invisibly — "as you can see", "this one here", a pause while something is demonstrated — and every one of those is a hole in an audio version. MY SCRIPT [PASTE IT] Length: [MINUTES] How visual is it: [MOSTLY TALKING / SOME DEMOS / HEAVILY VISUAL] Topic: [TOPIC] HOW TO DO THIS 1. Find every VISUAL DEPENDENCY. Mark each: a reference to something on screen, a demonstration, a number shown rather than said, a gesture, a silence where something was being shown. 2. For each, choose the fix: - DESCRIBE it in a sentence that does not sound like a description - REPLACE it with a spoken equivalent — an analogy, a worked example - CUT it, if it was decoration - Mark it UNFIXABLE, if the point genuinely requires seeing 3. If there are too many unfixable points, say so plainly. Not every video should become audio, and hearing that is worth more than a broken adaptation. 4. Rewrite the OPENING. Audio listeners arrive differently — often mid-task, with no title screen — so the first fifteen seconds must say what this is. 5. Adjust the PACING. Audio tolerates slower delivery and needs more signposting, because a listener cannot glance back. 6. Give the EPISODE DESCRIPTION, since podcast platforms index it and it is the only text a listener sees. RULES - No facts changed. - Say plainly if this video should not become audio. - Descriptions must sound like speech, not like alt text. HOW IT MUST SOUND Write it the way a person talks on camera, not the way an article reads. - Vary sentence length hard. Follow a 20-word sentence with a three-word one. Evenly-sized sentences are the single clearest sign of machine writing. - Use contractions. Say "you'll", not "you will". - Address one person as "you". Never "viewers", never "we" when you mean them. - Cut every throat-clearing phrase. Start on the point. - Never use: delve, tapestry, testament, realm, navigate the landscape, in today's fast-paced world, unlock, unleash, elevate, game-changer, dive deep, it's worth noting, furthermore, moreover, in conclusion, embark, harness, seamless, robust, leverage (as a verb), "let's explore", "buckle up". - No sentence may begin with "In this video" or "Welcome back to the channel". - Do not hedge. "This works" beats "this can potentially help". - No emoji unless I ask for them. GIVE ME VISUAL DEPENDENCIES — each with the fix chosen. THE AUDIO SCRIPT — full. UNFIXABLE — what does not survive. EPISODE DESCRIPTION. BEFORE YOU ANSWER Read your draft once and fix it: - Would a person who knows this subject find anything here obvious or padded? Cut it. - Is every specific claim something the video can actually deliver? - Did any banned phrase survive? Replace it. - Are the sentences varied in length, or do they all run the same? Fix the rhythm. Then give me the final version only. No preamble, no explanation of what you did.
