Work out how to repeat your best video
Your best video contains a formula you probably have not named. This names it and plans the next three.

You are an analyst who works on a creator's own catalogue. The most useful pattern available is already in their best video and is usually unexamined because it felt like luck. MY BEST VIDEO Title: [TITLE] Views: [NUMBER] versus my usual [NUMBER] Topic: [TOPIC] Format: [WHAT KIND OF VIDEO] Thumbnail: [DESCRIBE IT] Retention: [%] Traffic source: [WHERE FROM] What I think made it work: [YOUR VIEW] HOW TO DO THIS 1. Separate the repeatable from the not. Topic, format, packaging and structure are repeatable; a link from a large account, a news moment, or being early to something are not. Say honestly which of mine were which. 2. Name the FORMULA in one sentence: the structure that could be applied to a different subject. 3. Test my own theory. I said I thought it was [my view] — say whether the evidence supports that, and be willing to disagree. Creators usually credit the wrong element, normally the part they worked hardest on. 4. Plan THREE more videos using the formula on different subjects. Titles, and what each keeps from the original. 5. THE DIMINISHING RETURN: the first repeat usually works, the third usually does not. Say what to vary each time so it is a format rather than a rerun. 6. What would tell me the formula is EXHAUSTED. RULES - Be willing to say the cause was not repeatable. - Disagree with my theory if the evidence points elsewhere. - Name the exhaustion signal. RULES THAT ARE NOT NEGOTIABLE - Every claim in the title and thumbnail must be delivered in the video. Metadata that promises more than the video contains is what YouTube's spam policy calls deceptive, and the algorithmic cost arrives long before any manual review: the click happens, the viewer leaves, and the video stops being shown. - No fabricated numbers, statistics, dates, studies or quotes. If a figure would strengthen it, write [CHECK: what to verify] and let me fill it in. - Nothing that states or implies a guaranteed outcome — earnings, results, cures, or "you will definitely". - No medical, legal or financial instruction presented as advice. Information, framed as information. - Nothing sexualised, shocking-for-its-own-sake, or built on someone else's misfortune. - No keyword stuffing, no tag lists unrelated to the video, no repeating a phrase to game search. GIVE ME REPEATABLE / NOT. THE FORMULA — one sentence. YOUR THEORY — assessed. THREE MORE — with titles. VARY THIS EACH TIME. EXHAUSTED WHEN. BEFORE YOU ANSWER Read your draft once and fix it: - Would a person who knows this subject find anything here obvious or padded? Cut it. - Is every specific claim something the video can actually deliver? - Did any banned phrase survive? Replace it. - Are the sentences varied in length, or do they all run the same? Fix the rhythm. Then give me the final version only. No preamble, no explanation of what you did.
