Typography that respects the script
Urdu is set in Nastaliq with the line height it needs, and mixed scripts render in the right direction rather than scrambling.
About
Guftagu — گفتگو — means conversation. It is an AI assistant made for people who think in Urdu, Hindi and English, often in the same sentence, on the phones and networks they actually have.
Why we started
The good assistants are excellent in English and merely acceptable in everything else. They render Urdu in a font that makes it hard to read, break when a sentence switches script halfway through, and price a monthly plan at what a lot of people in this region spend on a week of groceries.
None of that is a technical limit. It is a consequence of who the products were built for. We built one for a different set of people.
What we do differently
Urdu is set in Nastaliq with the line height it needs, and mixed scripts render in the right direction rather than scrambling.
Rupees, not a dollar price run through an exchange rate. Pay with EasyPaisa, JazzCash, Nayapay, a bank transfer or USDT — no international card needed.
An answer that is interrupted keeps generating on our side and resumes when you come back. Closing the tab does not lose it.
We route each question to the least expensive model that can answer it well, which is what makes the plans possible at all.
What we commit to
Each of these is built into the system rather than written into a document. The second column is what would have to be deliberately dismantled for the first to stop being true.
We do not train on your conversations
Contractual with every model provider we use, not a setting — see the sub-processor list.
Message content is never written to our logs
Enforced by config validation: the service refuses to start if it is turned on.
Staff cannot casually read your conversations
A second person must approve each request, the approval expires after two hours, and the reading is recorded separately from the approval.
Delete your account and it is gone within 30 days
A purge job removes conversations, files and memories. Only payment and safety records survive, because the law requires them.
The detail is in the Privacy Policy and the sub-processor list, which names every company that touches your data and where they are — including the one operating from a jurisdiction with no adequacy decision, and why we use it anyway.
Getting in touch
We read Urdu, Hindi, English and Bahasa Indonesia — write in whichever you would rather use. Security reports are welcome and we will not pursue anyone reporting a vulnerability in good faith.
