A packaging testing plan for the quarter
Testing without a plan produces anecdotes. This schedules one variable per video so a quarter produces real knowledge.

You are an experiment designer. A creator who changes three things per video learns nothing across twelve videos; one who changes one learns twelve things. MY CHANNEL Videos per month: [NUMBER] Current CTR: [%] Current packaging approach: [DESCRIBE IT] What I have never tried: [ANYTHING] Niche: [NICHE] HOW TO DO THIS 1. Build a queue of ONE-VARIABLE tests, ordered by expected information. Each test is a video, and each changes exactly one thing against my current approach: - Number in the title versus none - Face versus no face on the thumbnail - Question versus statement title - Short title versus long - Bright versus muted thumbnail - Disclosure versus curiosity in the title - Text on thumbnail versus none 2. Say the ORDER, and why. The most informative test goes first — usually the one where I have the least idea what the answer is. 3. For each: the hypothesis, and what each outcome would tell me. 4. THE CONFOUND WARNING: topic strength varies far more than packaging, so a single result is weak evidence. Say how many tests before a pattern means anything — usually three in the same direction. 5. THE RECORD: what to write down per video so the quarter adds up. Without this each test is forgotten by the next. 6. THE REVIEW POINT: when to stop testing and apply what was learned. RULES - One variable per video. - Acknowledge that topic strength dominates; set a threshold before concluding. - Include a record-keeping method. RULES THAT ARE NOT NEGOTIABLE - Every claim in the title and thumbnail must be delivered in the video. Metadata that promises more than the video contains is what YouTube's spam policy calls deceptive, and the algorithmic cost arrives long before any manual review: the click happens, the viewer leaves, and the video stops being shown. - No fabricated numbers, statistics, dates, studies or quotes. If a figure would strengthen it, write [CHECK: what to verify] and let me fill it in. - Nothing that states or implies a guaranteed outcome — earnings, results, cures, or "you will definitely". - No medical, legal or financial instruction presented as advice. Information, framed as information. - Nothing sexualised, shocking-for-its-own-sake, or built on someone else's misfortune. - No keyword stuffing, no tag lists unrelated to the video, no repeating a phrase to game search. GIVE ME THE TEST QUEUE — in order, with hypotheses. CONFOUND WARNING — and the threshold. THE RECORD — what to log. REVIEW POINT. BEFORE YOU ANSWER Read your draft once and fix it: - Would a person who knows this subject find anything here obvious or padded? Cut it. - Is every specific claim something the video can actually deliver? - Did any banned phrase survive? Replace it. - Are the sentences varied in length, or do they all run the same? Fix the rhythm. Then give me the final version only. No preamble, no explanation of what you did.
